As many of you already know, Jody and Jo first met in fifth grade at Cambridge Friends School. In eighth grade, to earn their community service credits, they volunteered at a coat drive in the basement at the Friends Meeting House, where now, 24 years later, they will be married! At that point, they had known each other for four years, but had rarely spoken. Jody had transferred into Cambridge Friends School in fifth grade and was painfully shy. Jo was a class clown. (They both had crushes on other classmates). After graduating from middle school, they wouldn’t cross paths for nearly two decades, reconnecting one memorable evening at TJ Byrnes in New York. Now, this summer, through various twists of fate, they are getting married in the Meeting House where they spent time all those years ago.
